Paul Hendy, CEO, Hendy Group
Paul Hendy is chief executive of the Hendy Group, the fifth generation Hendy to head up the company which started back in 1859 and was Britain’s first Ford dealer. Paul’s motoring career at Hendy began with a weekend job before joining full time in the parts operation. During his time with the group he has worked in service department, marketing, sales and aftersales working his way up the group to become chief executive. The company now employs more than 1,850 people and has 60 dealerships representing 19 manufacturers across the south coast.

John’s career in the motor industry is driven by a passion for all things automotive and understanding the data that drives the industry forward.
He has covered a wide range of positions, working at dealership, supplier, and OEM side. Working in senior leadership roles for major industry brands, including Lookers Plc, Volkswagen Group and Silverbullet. As well as being the Global Data Lead at APTIV, a leading autonomous and connected car technology provider.
Today, he leads the data and insights activities for REALtime Communications following the successful acquisition of his own business, Autolytica in 2020.

An expert on the global automotive industry and its changing market forces, Mike is one of the industry’s leading experts on dealer profitability and now has a portfolio of non-executive and consultative positions with motor retailers and the technology and consulting businesses that support them. He is working extensively on the impending agency changes and the impact they will have on retailer profitability.
