Phil Webb, Head of Car, Honda Motor Europe UK
Phil joined Honda Finance Europe in 1997 as an area operations manager for the midlands. Following a successful eight years in the field, Phil was brought in to head office as head of sales for Power Equipment at Honda UK. Five years later and Phil is the head of power equipment, where he spent three years leading the lawn, garden, marine, ATV and generator business for Honda in the UK. In 2013 Phil took over as head of dealer development, overseeing the retail networks across cars, motorcycles and power equipment. Since 2015, Phil has been the head of car at Honda UK, responsible for the strategy, sales and direction. Outside of work, Phil is passionate about sports and a season ticket holder for Wolves.
Nigel McMinn, Chief Operating Officer, Lookers
Nigel joined Lookers Plc in August 2013 from Benfield Motor Group in the North East of England. He had been there 7 years, firstly as Managing Director and latterly as Chief Executive. Prior to that he was in various roles across 11 years at Reg Vardy plc, latterly as a Franchise Director based in Edinburgh.
Although he tries not to admit to it, he started life as an Accountant, training with Price Waterhouse in Newcastle after studying Economics at university in Edinburgh.
Nigel’s role at Lookers plc is to lead the Motor Division. He is responsible for the achievement of their profit targets as well as the growth and development of the company through strong relationships with their manufacturer partners, finding and integrating appropriate acquisitions, making sure they attract and retain the best talent in the industry and providing a consistently excellent customer experience so that Lookers’ customers become their fans.
Rebecca Feeney, Brand Director, Auto Trader Group
Rebecca started her automotive career in the front line of retail, working in a major Mercedes Benz dealership, before moving into digital marketing, specialising in account management for large customer group websites. Rebecca joined Auto Trader four years ago from Nissan Marketing Services. After working with some of the industry’s largest franchise brands and supermarkets, as one of the business’ Brand Directors, she is now focused on helping franchise retailers to drive bigger volumes and more profitable sales of brand new vehicles.
Al Clarke, Programme Chairman
Al has held senior executive roles with Ferrari, Maserati and the SMMT. Al started his career as a journalist and presenter with a decade working for the BBC and in commercial radio.
He has a particular interest in the application of digital technology and connected car services in the automotive industry and regularly speaks at, and chairs events on, these issues.
