Speakers
Darren Ardron, Managing Director, Perrys
Perrys is a multi-brand privately owned dealer group covering several counties across the UK and represents 14 franchises.
Darren started his career with Perrys as a sales executive in 1988. Over several years he grew through the ranks holding sales management positions before becoming the group’s youngest General Manager in 1996.
Darren ran several dealerships before becoming Regional Director for Yorkshire. Later roles included Northern Regional Director and then in 2015 he became Managing Director. He is proud of his team and has enjoyed all aspects of every role.
Peter Haynes, Managing Director, Howards Group
Peter Haynes joined Howards Group in January 2013 as Operations Director before becoming Managing Director in 2016. In that time this family owned business has grown from 11 points of representation to 20 with sites situated in Weston-super-Mare, Taunton, Yeovil and Dorchester representing Peugeot, Citroen, DS, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, Lotus and more recently Suzuki and MG. Howards also have a non-franchised used car centre.
The impressive growth achieved by Howards over recent years has been achieved organically rather than via acquisition and saw the company enter the AM100 for the first time in 2019.
Peter’s automotive career spans 35 years with the majority spent working with PSA Peugeot Citroen before joining Howards. His last 5 years with the French manufacturer were as Sales Director for the brand’s retail group, Robins & Day.
Catherine Faiers, Chief Operating Officer, AutoTrader
Catherine joined AutoTrader in August 2017 and was appointed as Chief Operating Officer in May 2019 with responsibility for the day-to-day operations of AutoTrader’s business. She is also focused on guiding the group’s strategy and development.
Prior to this, Catherine was Chief Operating Officer at Addison Lee where she was responsible for all aspects of operations with a team of over 750 employees, management of the base of 6,000 driver partners, fleet logistics and customer operations. She was previously Corporate Development Director at Trainline with responsibility for strategy, change management and M&A.
Al Clark, Programme Chairman, Auto Retail Network
Al has held senior executive roles with Ferrari, Maserati and the SMMT. Al started his career as a journalist and presenter with a decade working for the BBC and in commercial radio.
He has a particular interest in the application of digital technology and connected car services in the automotive industry and regularly speaks at, and chairs events on, these issues.
