Going social

  20 August 2012

After three years running Web Workshops for members of Auto Retail Network and watching the development of social media use by retailers, we thought it was about time ARN took the plunge too.

Yes, we’ve been on Twitter for a while, but this has mostly been about using an automated news feed to broadcast news, features and information from this website.

Our first proper step has been to create an Auto Retail Network LinkedIn group.
We chose this because LinkedIn is very much a business platform, rather than a more leisure-related social media platform such as Facebook. LinkedIn allows discussions within the group as well as polls and to post highlights from the website.

By the end of day one we had 19 members in the group and discussions around which social media platform is best for business and also about how September sales would shape up together some chat about forced registrations.

So, if you’re on LinkedIn, why not join the group and dive into the discussion.
