Maria Grazia Davino quits Stellantis
18 October 2024
Stellantis UK group managing director Maria Grazia Davino has “decided to leave the company for other interests” with immediate effect, according to the manufacturer.
Recently promoted Peugeot UK director Eurig Druce has been appointed to take over the UK operations of the manufacturer and will report to Jean-Philippe Imparato, Stellantis Europe boss.
Auto Retail Agenda sources have said Davino, who had been in her role for just over a year, did not leave as a result of the recent group-wide reshuffle, but instead is leaving to join a rival manufacturer.
Imparato, who was recently global boss of Alfa Romeo, has only just been promoted to the role running all 10 Stellantis brands in Europe. A move that has triggered a host of personnel changes for the manufacturer. Stellantis also recently announced CEO Carlos Tavares would retire in 2026.
Druce will continue to cover his existing role running Peugeot until a successor can be found.
Commenting on the UK changes, Imparato said: “I am delighted to be able to appoint Eurig Druce to this position. His proven track record in the country will provide continuity of our strategy in this important market.”
“I sincerely thank Maria Grazia for her unwavering focus on performance and her ability to drive results swiftly. She built strong relationships with retailers, employees, and stakeholders, while adeptly handling regulatory changes in a disrupted industry. Her leadership has made a lasting impact on our UK operations and paved the future.”
Druce’s career started as a graduate joining Peugeot Motor Company in 2001. Since then he has experienced field roles in sales and after-sales, becoming director for parts & service in 2015. Since then he has been managing director for Citroen and group sales director.
