Profit surge for Currie Motors

Currie Motors, which operates in London, Surrey, Middlesex and Hertfordshire as well as the US, has announced net profits of £14,607 million – a 24% rise in the year ended April 2017. However, the company emphasised this was in part due to a property disposal.

The company, which holds franchises for Toyota, Lexus and Seat, made a profit of £2.3 million on the sale of its Edmonton site in north London. On a like-for-like basis and compared to the previous year, the company’s profits were up 4.6% and the company statement added service and parts performance was particularly strong.
