VW mulls UK diesel scrappage scheme

VW Group is considering a scrappage scheme for owners of older diesel cars in the UK, according to reports.

In Germany, the manufacturer is paying drivers up to €10,000 to trade in their dieselgate models for newer ones that produce less emissions. The move is expected to be announced shortly, following agreement between VW and sister brands, Audi, Porsche, Skoda and Seat.
