Approaching nine years heading up Mazda’s UK operations, managing director Jeremy Thomson and his management team have enjoyed unprecedentedly high NFDA ratings for the franchise from a slimmed-down dealer network, although this year the brand should fall short of its declared 50,000-unit optimum sales objective with a predicted 45,040 registrations volume.

Analysis of figures for the 132-outlet network, involving 85 partners, indicates why Mazda’s franchise status earned sixth place in the latest NFDA poll, making it the second highest Japanese brand behind Suzuki.
